It’s September 30 already!
Where did that month go?
Actually, it’s been a month of opportunities and events for Runley Productions, Inc.
Our friends at Rainbow Caterpillar Bookshop (http://www.rainbowcaterpillar.ca) in Toronto, invited us to read at their multicultural street festival, St. Clair West Children’s Festival, held Sept. 14th. What a wonderful chance for the families in that community to gather and celebrate diversity and communication!
The following day we travelled to the 25th Eden Mills Writers’ Festival (http://www.edenmillswritersfestival.ca). We spent the day on Publishers’ Way meeting Canadian authors, illustrators, publishers, local community members and people celebrating literacy.
Next, an invitation was extended to Runley to participate in Dufferin-Caledon’s Headwaters Arts Festival (http://headwatersarts.com/festival/kidsfest-events/). We held two literary workshops: one in the Alton Mill Arts Centre, Alton and one in BookLore, Orangeville. There we shared the process of book creation with enthusiastic, curious and insightful children … our future Canadian authors, illustrators, publishers and readers.
So … that wraps up September for Runley. We are preparing for our fall and winter events. Next month promises to be equally as busy … fantastic!
